My two-and-half years old son is the most vivid reader in the family (his mother usually picks not less than ten books for him each week from the library and every one of them is new, each week). The alphabet books are full of pictures, those he reads by himself. We read the storybooks while he browses through the pictures, lying on his bed at night. Its a shame that I am the legitimate card holder of the library, but so far I have picked only two books as loan to read at home. I am just an average reader for my age and I regret for that. I wish I had read more! But as they say, better late than never. As my leisure times are shrinking day by day, my appetite for reading books are growing exponentially.

Politicians are either God or the Devil Himself, or, are they?

We often blame the politics and political leaders for all the mishaps of our country. The solution (and hope), according to the majority, is to think about a utopia where most of the politicians, if not all, will be honest in one fine morning, and we will take it from there!

It was 2009, and the decision was made. I had to leave my family and friends. I had to leave the campus that I had been dreaming about being a part of. I had to leave the highest educational institution in the country in order to go to a just one year old institution. I had to leave the place and environment I know like my palm to place I had never been to.

Raindrops are falling on my head

The famous spider man sound track...

And how mesmerizing it becomes when you find the melody in rain.

Suited up, bag on back and here I walk in the rain, with the song in my lips.
Feeling bit cold, only few are in the rain, few crazy and few in love.

What we are

They say, music can bind hearts even if they are far away.
Well If not, then how two person 6098 kilometers apart feel the same beats at the same time.

6098 kilometers!
the girl puts the map on the floor. Then one toe in one city, another one is on the other. Calls her roommate to help her out.
" See it's only a foot away", She laughs.

This is a collection of quotations / excerpts from a single source - one of my all time favourite articles (a monograph), authored by Stanley I. Greenspan, and Stuart G. Shanker. This collection can perhaps also be considered an approximate summary (in my opinion, may not be yours) of the original article - which is really a very long piece of writing (nearly 20,000 words, I guess). The selection and arrangement of the excerpts are mine.

Anyway, I prefer not to comment on the article or on the selected excerpts here, because the excerpts themselves speak voluminously and are self-explanatory enough, I believe.

In any case, reading the original article was a hugely enlightening, enriching and rewarding experience for me - a part of which I wanted to share with my fellow-bloggers and readers through the excerpts below. If you find this collection enlightening, enriching or rewarding at all, I would urge you to go and read the full article - the link of which has been provided at the bottom of this post. Thank you.

An Ache for Innocence
By: Iris Zubair

I have been missing my childhood so much lately that I’m almost ashamed of it. At the age of 22, nobody has the time or sympathy to make excuses for wishful thinking. But I find myself doing nothing else these days. I daydream and imagine simpler times in my life when every decision didn’t seem so monumental, so incredibly life changing.
