• Jamaat-Shibir fanatics wreaked havoc on the Hindu community across the country. They vandalized at least six temples, including one of Buddhists, and torched houses and business establishments of Hindu people in Noakhali, Gaibandha, Chittagong, Rangpur, Laxmipur, Thakurgaon, Sylhet, Chapainawabganj and elsewhere in the country.

An iReport article that exposed an email scam regarding a petition submitted to the White House is recently taken down by CNN. The White House petition is organized by Jamaat-Islami-Bangladesh (JIB), demanding support from the Obama administration to stop the war crimes tribunals currently held in Bangladesh.

There is this recent tendency to proclaim that Jamaat-e-Islam’s student wing Islami Chattra Shibir is no worse than BNP’s student wing Jatiyatabadi Chattra Dol and the ruling party Awami League’s student wing Bangladesh Chattra League. While superficially rational, this comparison is actually based on a profound confusion and negligence of the facts.

Railway police recovered the deadbody of lyricist & composer Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul's younger brother from beside the Kuril flyover of the capital.

The musician was a witness against former Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Golam Azam in the International Criminal Tribunal.

We may use Facebook or other online social media for sharing our status to friends, to post some pictures of what we are eating or what movies we just watched, but may be it's time we realized the real power of social media to democratize people and technology.
