Introducing Sachalayatan English Blog

The idea of English section of Sachalayatan was mentioned few times earlier. With myriad of changes happening in Sachalayatan, this request kept falling down in the list of work to do. Finally I was able to put my hands on multilingual capabilities in Drupal system and set up it in Sachalayatan.
I hope Sachalayatan readers will enjoy the English blog as much as they do the Bangla one.
Be Sachal, Keep Sachal.

many thanks Mahbub for your tremendous efforts to make this happen. it will help us a lot to put the blogs written in Bangla and English at the same platform though good translation needs skills and rigor that I am lacking of.
please let us know in details the ways of working in the English blogs, i.e. how to post, whether there would be any assistance from the moderators in terms of ensuring language quality, et al.

Technically the multilingual capability implies nicety. But to the view the page looks motley hectic. I think on English page everything can come in roman alphabet.

thanks, I think the English version is mostly meant for the non-Bangla readers. hence, all of its get-up need to be in Roman scripts. it will give the version an international and professional look. keep it up!

How can I read and write Bangla text in Sachalayatan using a mac computer? I was using my PC to read posts here in Bangla. But now, my lab shifted to a mac based environment. I can not even give a comment in Bangla Sachalayatan from a mac computer. Please let me know if there's any way I can read and write Bangla text from a mac.
