The historical Shahbag movement in Bangladesh seems to have gained a momentum that alarms the biggest anti-liberation force in Bangladeshi politics -- Jamaat-e-Islami. The outcome we have seen in the murder of the 'controversial for preaching against religion or religious blindness' (depending on who's looking at it) blogger Thaba Baba aka Rajib Haider. While some find comfort in thinking that murder was done to add fuel to the dying movement (according to some), a far more plausible explanation lies in the fact that this grotesque murder was the lynch pin of a very cleverly orchestrated divide and conquer tactic. For despite all emotions one has for one's country, religious feeling is much dearer to most. At the unwanted cost of the life a fellow fighter, we clearly see now the ones amongst us who are prone to fall victim of religious exploitation.

Its unwise to go to war with those who would flee at the first sight of danger. And in this war for justice, it will be far more costly to go forward with those who are eagerly looking for any excuse to back out. So us Bangladeshis will need to take a stand right now. If we are truly willing to defend our nation, we must put all personal differences aside and work together towards the goal of eradicating all forces that bring us down, one at a time.

It won't be long when Bangladesh will finally be free of War Criminals, hopefully with their supporters and sympathizers. We have already brought them down to their knees, let us finish the job together one more time like our forefathers.
